The WA Workshop held on 30th November 2008 was not as advertised in the ARM November Journal. The previously advertised “Hungarian Massage” Workshop, presented by Vilma Telek, will be presented at the next Meeting & Workshop, to be held on the 22nd February 2009.
I must apologise for the confusion over the advertised workshop. Procedures have been put in place to ensure this will not happen again. All material presented to the National Office, concerning the WA branch, meant for inclusion on the website or Journal, will only be accepted by the Head Office, if approved and initiated by one of the four members of the WA executive, in writing. Email accepted.
The workshop that was held on 30th November 2008 was “Trouble Shooting – Theoretical and Practical approaches to unsolved problems individual members were having with specific clients.”
Gary Clark led the discussion, which utilised all the attendees’ experiences in dealing with similar cases, brought to light during the discussion. The different issues were workshopped with a discussion and demonstration, forming part of the “hands on” component of the session. Attending Member’s unresolved physical problems were also discussed and workshopped, and formed part of the hands-on components as well.
The meeting and workshop proved to be both informative and fruitful. My congratulations to all for their assistance. Many questions analysed and answers were forthcoming easily and willingly. I never cease to be amazed by the amount of knowledge people store and are prepared to pass on when requested. That is one of the main reasons for the existence of associations, people helping people.
The August Workshop will be another “Trouble-Shooting” session. Let’s see if we can improve on Novembers’ very successful effort.
Congratulations are extended to the National Office for the standard of the ARM Journal. It just gets better every issue.
Best wishes to all for a very Happy New Year.
