Hi,
My name is Yanyi Wang, from RMIT University, working for a clinical trial, funded by the federal government via National Health and Medical Research Council, which has been approved by HREC.
We are calling for volunteers with chronic musculoskeletal pain. If patients are accepted to the trial, they will being seen by a pain specialist from Royal Melbourne Hospital who will provide pain and mediation education and advise them on how to reduce opioid medications. Patients will also receive acupuncture treatments at our trial sites for 12 sessions over 10 weeks. The treatment is free. This multi-centre trial is conducted at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Caulfield Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, RMIT University and some clinics in Geelong area.
